Visa Information

Important: please note that visa requirements can change at any time. If you are in any doubt you should contact your consulate for up-to-date information.

EU citizens do not need a visa to enter Poland. Visitors from Australia, Canada and the United States of America (as well as many other countries) do not need visas if their stay in Poland is 90 days or less. A list of countries whose citizens do not require visas for visits of 90 days or less is here.

Visa applications can be initiated online via the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ e-konsulat website (in English and several other languages).

To apply for a visa you will need: a current passport valid no less than three months after the intended date of departure from Poland, with at least two blank pages; a completed and signed application form; two passport-sized photographs; and the appropriate fee, either cash or postal order. There may be other requirements depending on your legal status, intended length of stay, etc. The consulate will be able to provide further details.

Visas can be either short stay (90 days or less within any 180-day period), or working (maximum one year). Visa applications can take up to 15 days to process. Costs of visas can vary according to nationality and length of stay, but are approximately €60 (£45) at current prices; again, your consulate can confirm.
