European Car Free Day

Friday 22 September
Warsaw

On Friday 22 September, all buses, trams, subways, and commuter trains in Warsaw will be free of charge for all passengers. This is how Warsaw celebrates European Car Free Day.
Following a decision of the Warsaw Council, travellers don`t have to buy tickets to use public transportation or to get to underground platforms, because the gates will be open at all stations. Train companies in and around Warsaw will not demand tickets for travel in the first and second Warsaw ticket zones.
The European Car Free Day is an international environmental campaign celebrated on September 22 at the end of Sustainable Transport Week.
