The apartment is very dirty; it's clear someone has been cleaning it superficially or not doing a thorough clean. Every electrical outlet/light switch was dusty, as were the bed frame and doors. The microwave is filthy with old, stagnant grease. The floor between the bathtub and the wall hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. We booked this place for the bathtub, among other things, but after seeing the filth around it, we decided to just take a quick shower. On the terrace, the tables, chairs, and window sills didn't seem to have been wiped down since last year. But the absolute worst is the garbage disposal. Upon check-in, the host asks you to take your garbage outside, which has only happened to me once, and I've booked many times through Booking.com. We wouldn't have had a problem with this if someone had taken out the garbage left by the previous tenants beforehand. Furthermore, the garbage disposal isn't cleaned, with stains and dirt on the hinges. It looks like someone only comes in to change the sheets and provide fresh towels. Cleaning is rare. In addition to cleanliness, communication with the owner is lacking. We wrote to request advance check-in information (we were traveling and had trouble with signal reception). We also asked if it was possible to check in earlier. The owner only replied that I would send information at 2:00 PM (check-in time is 2:30 PM). The TV in the description does have a Smart TV, but what good is that if there's no internet access? The last two paragraphs are fine; they're minor things that could be improved. However, the cleanliness is appalling.
