Samarkand Uzbek Restaurant is a place that gets incredibly busy during lunch hours. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a free table and then another 20 minutes before a waiter finally came to take our order. The biggest downside for us is the constant lack of certain dishes on the menu. It’s disappointing when you specifically come for a particular dish and once again find out it’s unavailable. This time, as usual, there was no lamb plov and no samsa — exactly the dishes we were hoping to have. Still, the kitchen here really knows how to impress. We ordered borscht, veal plov, besh panja (grilled lamb skewers), beef and lamb manti, and kazy. Everything that arrived at the table was genuinely delicious. The manti were juicy, with thin dough and plenty of filling. The plov was aromatic, the rice perfectly fluffy, and the meat tender and well-cooked. The grilled lamb skewers stood out the most — juicy, flavorful, and not dry at all. The kazy was also very good. Even the borscht turned out rich and interesting in its own way. The atmosphere deserves a special mention as well: cozy interior, oriental details, beautiful wall paintings, and warm lighting create a very pleasant setting. You can clearly see that people come here for the food, and the constant flow of guests proves it. The total bill came to 331 PLN. Despite the long wait and the regular absence of some menu items, the food here is truly worth it, which is exactly why you keep wanting to come back — hoping that one day you’ll finally get to enjoy the dishes you came for.

The restaurant is clean, the food is delicious, and especially the meat is halal. The staff are friendly and efficient. I would like to recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommend Samarkand if you’re looking for authentic Uzbek and Central Asian cuisine. The food here is truly authentic, you can enjoy classics like fresh Plov and perfectly prepared meat dishes, all made fresh with no shortcuts or fridge stored meals. Even the beef based borscht is rich and flavorful. It’s a great spot when you don’t have time to cook yourself on a kazan or grill but still want that real homemade taste. The staff is friendly and communicates easily in Polish, English, Russian and Ukrainian, which makes the experience even more comfortable. Just note, no alcohol is served here, but honestly, the quality of food more than makes up for it. A solid choice for anyone craving real, hearty Central Asian flavors 👍
