We were a couple trying to have an enjoyable meal on a Monday night. I am glad I booked months ago to coordinate when our trip had us in Warsaw. It was heavily booked. It a number of floors & spaces. The noise was loud, especially when you add the saxophone playing on the top floor. I could hardly hear our waiter. Dimitri, our server, was well trained, & he just wanted us to have a pleasant experience. The starters were the stars. My Sicilian seafood soup was excellent. I could eat that every week. My partner's lobster ravioli was also a hit. At 73PLN it should be. We both had the sea bass roasted in the oven, which came as a whole fish. The sauce around it was just tomato. It was good, but not great. There were not many choices of fish on the menu. I find it interesting that such a fine-dining restaurant does burgers. We were glad we went, but probably would not put this as a top dining spot in our 2 month trip.
Amazing food and service. We had such a good dine out experience at Der Elefant. Our children had many good options from the kids menu, and for the adults the steaks, burgers and desserts were so very delicious. Amazing Humus for a starter, too! Our waitress Lena was very attentive, professional and friendly. Only minus, it was at times a bit loud, with the place packed and club-like music playing at not just background volume. Prices on the upper end, but adequate for the experience.
Nice atmosphere with a huge elephant head on the wall. The head is just a prop. Restaurant was big with a lot of seating and it had an indoor children playground on the upper floors though you can’t seat inside the playground area to eat. Food was delicious and portion was good. The food came fast although we did come early when it was not crowded. The bread though was a little dry and left crumbs all over the table. Table had cloth but they put a white paper cover which felt weird to the touch.
I had a really lovely dining experience here, made all the better by the outstanding service from Konrad K. He was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the meal, with great recommendations in food and drinks. The food was nice. The oysters were fresh and the seafood overall was in high quality. A highlight for me was the taco with great texture and flavour. To finish, the crème brûlée was excellet with a crisp caramelised top and a rich, creamy custard underneath. A perfect experience and I would recommend it to others.
