Very strange to read the bad reviews! As the staff members and the food was so amazing! Loved everything! The second course did take a while, but the restaurant was full of people. The food was super delicious they have amazing cocktails and the waitor was so friendly, kind and also spoke very good english! And her communication about the dishes were great, seemed like a very passionate person! Next time I am in Warsaw I would definitely would love to come back! Thank you for great experience! :)
Had a lovely meal here on Friday night. A big shoutout to my utterly delightful waitress, Paulina, for her attentive service (best I’ve had in Europe thus far)! Her dish suggestions were fantastic too- including tartare and potato dumplings with blueberries. I’m not typically a cocktail/mocktail person, but the hops and citrus mocktail was unique and delicious
An outrageous success. This modern take on Polish cuisine sits in a bright, clean, welcoming space with high ceilings. The food was better than at a two-Michelin-star restaurant I've been to. Surprised they don't have a star yet?! We started with potato dumplings elevated with truffle and boy, a tear rolled down my cheek. A childhood memory wrapped in luxurious flavor. And how cool that they serve brain! Muster the courage and try it. It's baked in flaky pastry, which gives the typically mushy texture a real crisp and crunch. The venison was so tender, cooked to perfection, but the sauce, I was ready to lick the plate. My favorite side was the cauliflower with crunch and a delicious cheese sauce. The mint with cucumber was a pleasant surprise that's joining my own cooking repertoire. The wine selection by the glass is fantastic. I highly recommend sticking to Polish wines. The country has started producing some amazing bottles and the restaurant has a great selection. Our waitress was lively, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed, reading our minds whenever we needed anything. My new favorite place in Warsaw.
This restaurant was an absolute delight! The ambiance is lovely and comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive and welcoming. What impressed me the most was the food—you can immediately tell they use the freshest ingredients. The flavors are delicate, nuanced, and beautifully layered. Highly recommend, and I will definitely be back!
We visited Wandal to celebrate a special occasion, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly without ever feeling intrusive. The space itself deserves mention: it’s beautifully designed, modern, and open, which creates a comfortable atmosphere where you never feel crowded. Despite its refined concept, the restaurant feels welcoming rather than pretentious—something that’s surprisingly rare at this level. The food was outstanding. The menu is seasonal, so it evolves, but every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed. The steak tartare was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The herring paired with delicately crispy potato pancakes was perfectly balanced in texture. The pyzy, filled with a rich cheese sauce, were comforting yet elevated. The żurek was beautifully composed, with deeply flavorful sautéed mushrooms adding depth to the dish. We also had the steak in cognac sauce, cooked to perfection, alongside truly exceptional Silesian dumplings. What stood out most is how the cuisine reinterprets traditional Polish dishes. Each plate retains its recognizable roots while introducing a modern, creative twist that enhances rather than overwhelms the original flavors. A particularly thoughtful touch: the staff remembered a special request I had made, which made the celebration feel even more personal and memorable. I would highly recommend Wandal for special occasions, or for anyone—especially visitors—looking to experience Polish cuisine in a modern, refined, yet approachable way.
