Description

On September 19th, the Art Box Experience at the Norblin Factory in Warsaw will host the first public screening of the unique immersive exhibition 'Romantic Chopin,' a partnership with the Frédéric Chopin Institute (NIFC). This first-of-its-kind production combines modern technology with classical music, taking viewers on a sensual journey in Chopin's footsteps—his sounds, emotions, and the artistic world he co-created. The exhibition is a unique blend of art, history, and technology—a tribute to one of the greatest composers of Romanticism. Visitors will embark on a journey into the world of Frédéric Chopin, following in his footsteps, from his letters and the piano—from his manor house in Żelazowa Wola, through the salons of Warsaw, the turmoil he faced in Vienna, and finally to the artistic bohemia of Paris. This is a story about his life, love, music, and struggle—seen through the eyes of his contemporaries and us today. The exhibition offers a spectacular yet intimate experience that combines various art forms: music, image, word, and light. It reveals Chopin's environment – his friends and artists of the era – such as George Sand, Eugene Delacroix, Honoré de Balzac, Ferenc Liszt, and Adam Mickiewicz, who shared his emigration, but also unknown stories from his everyday life. It is a space where classical music meets modern storytelling. The exhibition is divided into eight thematic areas. It begins in a space styled after a 19th-century manor house in Żelazowa Wola, from where viewers will journey with Chopin through Warsaw – the city of his youth, musical discoveries, and political transformations. Then we move to Vienna and beyond – to France, where the mature Chopin composed and lived surrounded by the great figures of his era. • An interactive musical sculpture that allows you to 'touch' Chopin's compositions – a fusion of modern art and technology with timeless music. • An immersive room where, over the course of three-quarters of an hour, viewers will learn about the artist's biography through letters and documents, immersed in images, sounds, and narrative. • An interactive Chopin family tree – a modern installation that allows for direct interaction with figures from Chopin's closest circle: his parents, sisters, friends, and his beloved George Sand, thanks to elements of artificial intelligence. This innovative approach to presenting history will draw viewers into the composer's personal narrative. • VR created by Platige Image studio, which takes viewers on an extraordinary journey: from a contemporary city, through the interior of a piano, to... space – showing how Chopin's music continues to resonate with new generations. • The final hall is dedicated to the legendary Chopin Competition – its history, winners, and the role it plays in promoting Chopin's music around the world. Don't miss the world premiere of the 'Romantic Chopin' exhibition – discover the extraordinary world of one of the greatest composers of all time.
