Warsaw was among the cities that suffered the most during World War 2. The city and its inhabitants experienced bombings and their everyday life under the eye of the SS. They also courageously fought in two uprisings: the 1943 Jewish Ghetto Uprising and the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
