Description

You will be picked up early morning from your accommodation in Warsaw by an English-speaking driver in a standard car or minivan. Departure time depends on your Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum entrance slot and may vary from the stated time.

Upon arrival, join a 3.5-hour guided group tour covering Auschwitz and Birkenau camps in English. The tour begins at Auschwitz, established in 1940 near the town of Oswiecim by German Nazis. Visit key sites such as Block 11 (Death Block), the Wall of Death, and the gas chamber where about 70,000 people were killed between 1940 and 1943. You will also watch a post-liberation film presented in multiple languages inside the museum.

Next, proceed to Birkenau, located 3 kilometers from Oswiecim in the former village of Brzezinka. Auschwitz II Birkenau was founded in 1941 and housed approximately 1.5 million people from 1942 to 1945, mainly Jews, as well as Poles, Roma, Russians, and prisoners from across Europe. The infamous Gate of Death served as the entry point for prisoner transports from 1944. In 1979, the site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There will be time to have lunch at a nearby restaurant during the tour. After the visit, you will be transported back to Warsaw and dropped off at your accommodation.
