Explore the history of Warsaw’s Jewish community during WWII under Nazi occupation. The route can be customized to your interests. Visit the former Jewish Ghetto area, including remnants of the 1940 Ghetto Wall that isolated over 400,000 Jews.

Pass through Grzybowski Square, once part of the ghetto, and visit Nożyk Synagogue, the only synagogue in Warsaw to survive the war and still in use today. Continue to the ‘Large Ghetto’ area in the Muranów district, rebuilt post-war with modern architecture and street art.

Walk around the Jewish Cemetery to see thousands of graves, then visit the Ghetto Heroes Monument. Optionally, you may visit the nearby Museum of the History of Polish Jews (entrance fee not included), which documents 1,000 years of Jewish history in Poland.

If desired, your guide can show filming locations from Roman Polanski’s film The Pianist, located in the Praga-North district. The tour concludes with drop-off at your original pickup point.
