Take a 3.5-hour guided group tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps. Learn about Auschwitz, established in 1940 by German Nazis near Oswiecim. The camp now functions as a museum, preserving evidence of the genocide, including a multi-language film about the camp's liberation.
Continue to Auschwitz II Birkenau, established in 1941. Between 1942 and 1945, approximately 1.5 million people, mainly Jews but also Poles, Gypsies, Russians, and others from 28 European countries, were imprisoned and perished here. Since 1979, the site has been protected as a UNESCO World Cultural and National Heritage Site.
After the tour, travel 1.5 hours to Krakow, where you will have three hours of free time to explore the city’s key landmarks.
