Description
This tour starts in Warsaw. You will be picked up by your English-speaking driver from your hotel.
You will then be taken to visit the Jasna Góra monastery in Czestochowa. Jasna Góra is the country’s greatest place of pilgrimage. Important attractions are votive objects connected to John Paul II (e.g. golden rose given to the Monastery in 1979 and a part of cassock stained with blood with a hole after an assassination attempt in 1981). The Pope used to visit Czestochowa every time he was in Poland. During the tour you have also a chance to admire the Golghota – new Stations of the Cross designed by the famous Polish painter Jerzy Duda-Gracz.
Afterwards, your driver will transfer you for lunch in a local restaurant.
After the tour, you will return to Warsaw at around 6:00 PM.
