The food was amazing! The wait for it was completely reasonable when you get to taste the food. The only thing to take into consideration while visiting is that that they have stairs before you get to the counter, and that can be a problem for someone with disability. So, bring a friend that will fetch the food and who you can enjoy the amazing food with. 10 out of 10.
Tasty dishes - i would defined recommend crepes. I wasn’t lucky enough to have pierogi as they run out, when i got in. But tasted zurek, which was tasty. Also not the easiest to communicate, if you don’t speak basics or similar language, but worth the visit!
Best milk bar I visited in Warsaw. The food was delicious and the friendly and patient ladies behind the counter always helped me order using a translator app. It’s a small place and finding a seat can be tricky when it’s busy. Their soups and Kotlet schabowy are very good.
Surely the best milk bar in Warsaw. I came twice on my holiday, once for the pork schnitzel with mashed potato and salad (schabowy tradycyjny, pictured), and once for the Hungarian-style potato pancake (placek po wegiersku). The schnitzel was great but the mashed potato was excellent, properly seasoned and very potato-ey. The sides (I tried the different cabbage, carrot and beetroot coleslaws) are all fresh and excellent at cutting through the heavy mains. The kompot was also very tasty. The Hungarian-style pancake - a huge potato pancake smothered in a savoury sauce with big chunks of meat and mushroom - was incredible. Super filling, but very heavy, so go with an empty stomach. The portions are huge and very affordable, the line moves fast because the service is quick, they accept card payment, and the toilet is very clean. The service is mostly in Polish, and the menu is a blackboard, but they post a daily menu on their Facebook page which you can look at before you order.
5***** experience, wonderful food, wonderful lady at the counter who doesn't speak english but manages to communicate just fine! From the 5 days spent in the city, we ate there for the 3 of them, everything tasted amazingly. Can't wait to come back to Warsaw just to eat there again, don't miss it.
