Location – Transport To and From The City

WarsawFryderyk Chopin Airportis located about 10km from the city centre at 1 Zwirki i Wigury Street. The airport is easily accessible by car, bus or taxi. There are five public bus routes and one private line all with stops at Warsaw’s most popular landmarks and hotels. The bus stop is located in front of the terminal and for less than one Euro you can travel for up to 120 minutes from the moment of ticket validation although it is not necessary as the journey takes about 25 minutes to the city centre. Check-In and Self Check-In

Check-in desks are displayed on flight information boards at the airport. Contact airport information by telephone at 22 650 42 20 or ask at the Airport Information Desk should you have any difficulties. Check-in desks are numbered from 101 to 292, open two hours before the scheduled time of flight and close 45 minutes before the flight. Transatlantic flights open 3 hours before the scheduled flight time. Passengers flying with LOT, Lufthansa, Finnair, Turkish Airlines, KLM and Air France can avail of the self-service check-in stands located in the terminal. Passengers who have only hand luggage can proceed directly to the security checkpoint but those who have luggage to check in must do so at regular check-in desks.

Shopping and Restaurants

Chopin Airport has shops to cater for all your needs. A number of shops offer souvenirs from Poland. There area also 50 shops selling perfume, jewellery, books, magazines, CDs and all the top confectionary brands. There are also a range of designer shops with toys and games to keep young children entertained. Banks, cashpoints, rent-a-car, exchange points as well as post office facilities can all be found here. There are also mobile phone charging and baggage foil wrapping services. For those who want to relax before traveling there are four comfortable Executive Lounges and a VIP Lounge. There are also a number of cafes and restaurants offering Polish cuisine and refreshments.
