Visited yesterday (Friday 3rd April) and honestly came in just expecting a casual drink. What I didn’t expect was to leave having had one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in a long time — and that’s entirely down to the barman on duty. This guy was something else. Friendly from the moment you walked in, kept the energy in the room at exactly the right level — lively but never overwhelming. He had that rare ability to make every person at the bar feel like they were the most important customer in the room. Genuinely gifted at what he does. The pool hall itself is a solid spot — good tables, decent atmosphere. But it’s the staff that make or break a place, and on Friday night, that barman made it. To the owner: if you’re reading this, please give that man a pay rise. Immediately. He is single-handedly elevating your venue and the kind of staff member that keeps customers coming back.
