NOLITA, The signature restaurant of chef/owner Jacek Grochowina.
Located in the a most vibrant social district of Warsaw, Jacek intends Nolita to be a relaxed fine dining experience.
He has named Nolita after Manhattan's inspiring neighbourhood, where traditions and modernity have come together to make it the new epicentre of culinary landmarks.
A small place, it has one room accommodating about 40 people, while the main focus is on the semi-open kitchen (glass-fronted to maintain the visual theatre). Here, guests observe the aesthetics of the dish from conception to consumption in a perfectly adapted environment.
The menu is international; ingredients and spices from all over the world are assembled into extraordinary dishes created, not in secrecy, but in a spectacular manner in full public view.
Grochowina combines classical influences with cutting edge cuisine. Dishes are grounded in the French tradition and embellished with oriental notes of texture and taste based mainly on seasonal produce. Ingredients from top suppliers are subjected to modern techniques, with bags of contemporary ideas and clever twists and turns along the way.
The interior mixes style and sophistication with a city vibe. The main dining room is designed with minimalist, non-overwhelming elegance - it's a neutral, contemporary urban space, with the familiar look of wooden floors, linen-clothed tables and white walls broken up by modern Polish artworks.
Nolita is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday, Saturday dinner only.
Diners can choose between an A la Carte menu, a 5- or 7-course tasting menu, and with optional wine pairing. Nolita serves weekly changed set lunch menu.
