The name of this eatery is Dawne Smak, which translates roughly to 'Old Flavour' in English. Here, Polish cuisine is served with great respect for the cooking customs, which have been tried and tested over a long period of time.
The interior is a throwback to the past with tasteful wooden furniture, wooden floors, shelves and cabinets. Old-fashioned curtains and pictures of times gone by evoke feelings of nostalgia for another age.
The food is carefully prepared by a team of skilled chefs who use old recipes to create delicious dishes. Traditional soups include sour rye soup as well as chicken broth with noodles. Dumplings with a variety of fillings, pork chops and potato cakes are popular main courses. You can also try sturgeon or trout dishes. Desserts such as cheesecake and apple tart are the perfect way to end a meal. For children there is a special menu.
Regional Polish beer, vodka and wine are some of the options on the drinks menu. You can also have soft drinks and hot drinks with or after your meal.
Dawne Smak is an ideal place to celebrate a special occasion. Reservations can be made in advance. There are two VIP rooms and in the summer time the restaurant can hold up to 300 people. You have to the option of being inside or outside with the courtyard at the back a particularly pleasant location to enjoy your meal. From Thursday to Saturday there is live music in this area.
